Elephant Butte was a little cold. It was a great day to be at the lake because it was cloudy so the hot sun wasn't burning us. It was a nice day to relax and enjoy being together. The kids did swim a little and we tried hard to find a couple little cliffs to jump but no luck.

Rylan lost his 1st tooth!
Rylan's tooth had been loose for about 2 weeks. He really wanted to lose it but he was a little nervous about what it was going to feel like. While we were eating breakfast he said my tooth is really loose so Keith stuck his finger in his mouth and wiggled it until it was just hanging there. Grandma pulled it out. Rylan was excited to have the tooth fairy come that night!
Papa & Grandma's House
We finally got to Papa & Grandma's house in Hatch, NM. This is one of Rylan's favorite things to do when he gets there...feed the fish. When he was younger he dumped the entire container of fish food in Uncle Shane's big fish tank in his bedroom. It smelled so bad & made a big mess. He's older now and does a lot better by asking if the fish need to be fed.

Summer Vacation
We started our trip out by adding an extra 2 hours taking the kids to the catwalk a hour outside of Silver City New Mexico. As kids Keith and I both went and we've always wanted to take our kids so we did. We had a great time being together and hiking! It was a 2 mile hike...1 mile up and 1 mile down.
Musical Theater
Shaylee, Rylan, Merilee (aunt), Mikayla, Taylen (cousins) were in a musical theater performance this summer with Higher Ground Dance Studio. The kids were all in a summer singing and dancing program. They performed songs from High School Musical, Camp Rock and other Disney songs. They all did a great job! I was so thankful for the family support...it was so much fun having everyone there to watch!
